We have a committed Youth Group who represent six different school districts.

What you can expect as an FPC youth...

The youth ministry program at First Presbyterian Church, is Christ-centered and relationship based. It is a safe place to be who you are, and all are welcome.  Because we are small we are able to offer a great deal of flexibility to meet the needs of the individual youth and families.

At First Presbyterian, youth are encouraged to share whatever gifts they are discovering in themselves: singing, teaching, leading worship, etc.

1 Timothy 4:12 "Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."

Come, bring a friend (please remember that everyone who participates must have a completed parent consent form on file with the church office), bring an open mind and an open heart, deepen your relationship with Jesus and have FUN!

Each youth must have a parent/guardian consent form on file at the church to participate in youth group or attend any of the youth activities.  Please print a copy, fill it out, make sure that parents and youth sign it, and bring it to your first youth event.

Saturday, November 12 from 2-5:30pm

Put your climbing skills to work with an outing to Vertical Endeavors in Bloomington.

  • Cost is $22.50 (if you need to rent to shoes, total cost is $30.50) - scholarships are available

  • We will leave the church at 2pm and return at 5:30pm

  • Fill out a waiver beforehand - waivers available online at

A Youthworks mission trip happened in June for five youth here at FPC; they went to the Quad Cities to work with local youth programs and engage with adults with disabilities. In addition, they worked to meet the basic needs of individuals through local charities, food pantries and community gardens.

While there, they also learned about the strengths and struggles of the area from a community speaker and participate in a prayer walk. When you see one of the participants, be sure to ask her about the many accomplishments and learning experiences she encountered on this mission.
